Using browser (laptop/PC/mobile)

• To apply for a FAI Safeguarding course you must use the FAI MyComet system

• A guide to logging into MyComet or creating an account can be found HERE

• Upon logging into MyComet, select Events on the left menu, then use the search box and type in “Safeguarding”. This will unfortunately show many results if using a browser including other coaching courses, scroll until you see a Safeguarding 1, Safeguarding 2 or Safeguarding 3 course. You must complete Safeguarding 1 before applying for other Safeguarding courses

• Once you find the relevant Safeguarding course in the avaiable courses, click Start, this will bring you to the course details.
• Relevant prerequsities will be listed (for Safeguarding this will be Garda Vetting)
• Click APPLY HERE -> APPLY within the course description

Using COMET Football App

• Initially download COMET Football app from Play/App Store
• Select FAI on the app and log in with your details
• Click the COURSES icon (middle icon at bottom)
• Search for "Safeguarding 1" using the search box
• Select the relevant course, click APPLY, complete details and pay the fee using the shopping cart icon

Other non-FAI Safeguarding 1 courses are also acceptable, such as those run by Active South Dublin , DLR Sports Partnership etc.. Should you complete one of these non-FAI courses, please provide the club with this information.
